Mary Jo Fabrics specializes in cotton fabric by the quarter yard. We buy fabric in bulk from our fabric wholesaler or direct from the manufacturer. We pride ourselves on our excellent and personalized customer service and our ability to offer such fabulous fabrics at tremendous savings since we only sell online. No overhead so we can pass on the savings to you.
It was important to us to custom sell fabric so you only have to buy what you need for your project. No minimum purchase required. Most stores have full yard or 2 yard minimums, not us. If you only need 3/4 yard or 1 1/4 yards, that is all you have to buy. It was simple - just list the fabric in 1/4 yard increments so you can choose how much you want to buy of any design. You can order 1/4 yard of one fabric or 20 different fabrics. We take the bolt off the shelf, go to the cutting table and measure what you need, fold into an envelope and ship direct to your home.
We make fabric shopping fun and easy. No driving from store to store - hunting to find a print or design. If you see it, we have it. Our website is a simple design with big pictures and lots of them to help you see the size of the design. You can almost feel it. If it is showing available, it will be in an envelope and on it's way to your house in less than 24 hours. We take orders to the post office in the morning and again at 430pm every day. Plus orders over 3 yards in total ship USPS Priority to arrive in 2 to 3 days. We auto upgrade and pay the extra $4 to ship so you get your fabric even sooner. Then if you spend $50, we ship for free. Who doesn't love that?
We have been in business for 5+ years. We literally started business in our living room, sold on Etsy and Ebay, and now grew to our own website. I started sewing as therapy. I worked a corporate job and raised two boys who were 6 foot tall at 12 and had an appetite to match. I didn't have time for a second job, I only saw my kids nights and weekends as it was. I started sewing to make things to sell for "chicken nugget" money. Of course, as we all do, I bought more fabric and craft supplies than I could use. My wholesaler suggested selling my fabric online. Covid hit. The rest is history as they say - I love fabric. I enjoy the shelves of fabric and picking up a bolt and "seeing" it in a quilt, as an apron or a potholder or a new teddy bear. I love fabric artists and seeing what people create from fabric. I am still amazed every month by some new post of a finished product. I love it. I hope to have a store one day but I enjoy every minute of fabric and helping people get fabric to create new art for themselves and their family.
Our low overhead and skillful negotiating help us provide quality fabric at a fair price shipped very quickly. We have been very fortunate to be mentored by many experienced textile owners.
